Freedom isn’t free. Commissioning uniforms for ROTC Marines should be.

You can make it happen.

The Challenge

After a highly competitive selection process, 4 years of managing college alongside the physical requirements of ROTC, and a grueling Officer Candidate School, these men and women have earned something that can’t be bought.

First Salute

The Salute

Following tradition, the first salute of a newly commissioned officer is “Paid For” by the officer with a silver dollar; every salute after is “Earned.”

Before a first salute is rendered, there is one more thing an officer must “Pay For.”

The Cost

More than the customary silver dollar, an officer’s commissioning uniform is over $2,000, forcing many to begin their career in debt. You can change that.

Roughly 300 Marine ROTC students are commissioned each year. That is an estimated $600,000.00 of potential debt for uniforms alone.
